The volume of trade that’s moved by sea

Crops that are weighed

丰收的农作物

Cars that are sprayed

崭新的汽车

And it’s easy to see

海运带来的影响显而易见

The impact this makes

Fruit and vegetables

水果和蔬菜

Toys and collectables

玩具和收藏品

Wheats and grains

小麦和谷物

The blood in the veins Like to land,a farmer is Ships are to the sea

船舶之于海洋就像农民之于土地唇齿相依血脉相连

And if the world is the heart

如果世界是心脏

Ships are the arteries

那么船舶就是动脉

Which stock the pharmacies

支持药店的存货

Move essential commodities

维系日用品的流通

So there is a lot at stake across these seas

所以海运举足轻重

Without these routes,half the world would starve

如果没有这些航程，地球一半的人会挨饿

While the other half would freeze

另一半会受冻

Without these bright, colored containers

没有这些色彩缤纷的集装箱

The four walls,in our house that contain us

我们的房屋可能只剩四面墙壁

Would be empty

The books we read

我们阅读的书籍

The animal feed

喂养动物的饲料

The oil we need

人类需要的石油

The global lives that we lead

正是航运引领着全球化的生活

No oil, no cars; no essential spare parts

没有石油，没有汽车，没有必要的零配件

The seas version of stars

星辰大海

Those flickering lights on the horizon

地平线上闪烁的灯光

By moon and by sun

日月交替

But the journey is never done

但航程永不停歇

As a supertanker proves

以一艘超级油轮为例

The distance it moves

Is equivalent to three times around this earth a year

And we are served by over 61,000 ships

The things we buy, the things that shops sell

The 1.7 million seafares

It’s more than just engines, that propel, this industry

And it’s easy to see, that a lot is owed To the people that load;

6,000 ports worldwide

全世界有6,000多个港口

But it’s not all plain sailing.

It’s rough seas and piracy warnings

狂风暴雨，海盗猖獗

And the change that this inevitably causes

The sea covers 70% of our planet

So you can see why; we need to plan it.
